What makes learning here even more rewarding is the opportunity to perform at various local, national, and international events. She believes that dance is for everyone, regardless of age, and provides a supportive environment where adult students can thrive alongside younger dancers. Beyond technique, she instills in us a deep respect for the art form, helping us connect with Bharatanatyam not just physically but also emotionally and spiritually. Rated 5.0 Vidya is a very dedicated teacher who strives hard to bring out the best in every child.The thing that really stands out in my mind is the importance she gives to "angashudhi" or perfection, form, along with encouraging the students to feel the joy, show the energy, emote. She does not glaze over performances, but really instills the values in the child to do better, to not settle for less. In addition, opportunities to perform in safe zones like the monthly Paramapara really builds a student's confidence as a performer. The school's annual performances are a delight and a much awaited event for both the students and their families. And yes, come with purpose because her standards are high, expectations for dedication are high, and you can see the results in the high calibre of her dance students.

She teaches the intricate details of bharathanatyam and encourages her students to practice it. She gives equal opportunity to show case your talent through annual and monthly events. A teacher with absolutely no partiality. Very much blessed to be a part of VDA for the part 3 years and many more to come.

Rated 5.0 Smt Vidyalatha is an extremely dedicated teacher. She's very patient with her students and constantly motivates them while reinforcing the importance of discipline and practice. Guru Vidya's choreography and dance dramas are par excellence. My daughter and I are truly honored to be her students. She's one of the best teachers here in the bay area!
