Pranavam School of Dance is a dance school featuring six locations in New Jersey all dedicated to training both children and adults alike in classical Bharatanatyam and Bollywood dance styles. In addition, we also feature programs devoted to fitness and agility featuring moves from Bollywood films. The goal here at Pranavam is to make dance accessible to everyone. The word Pranavam derives from a Sanskrit word called " Om", which is the basis of all creation and the building blocks of the universe. It has come to be perceived as a significant title all across the world.Here at Pranavam, we use this belief to build natural, artistic, versatile, and creative qualities in every student. With every new dance form, Pranavam also offers an advanced curriculum of music, including rhythm, tempo, beat, and variation of music. Every pupil will be trained to increase skills in partnering with others, posture, balance, flexibility, strength, and coordination. Each student will also develop enhanced knowledge of dance terminology. In addition, every student will also learn how to connect with the audience and develop technical aspects of dance like transitions and formations. Pranaya has been classically trained in Bharatanatyam for many years under Smt. Shakuntala Devi and has been nurtured further by Smt. Anjali Nandan. Her present guru is Smt. Archna Karry at Manjeeram Academy of fine arts. Her exposure to international forms of dance occurred in Charlotte, North Carolina, from the Carolina Dance Capital and the Charlotte Dance College, where she was educated in Hip Hop, Jazz and Ballroom dancing. She also had the opportunity of training at the prestigious Shaimak's Dance School. She also has participated in multiple Indian festivals and numerous events in North Carolina. Pranaya has worked as a teacher instructing others in dance at Oakridge International School in India. She has also had many opportunities to attend dance workshops, and dance therapies.

Rated 5.0 This is one place where you can learn traditional Bharatnatyam as well as Bollywood style of dancing. The teachers here are extremely dedicated and work with kids patiently and every class you will see learning and advancing. The recitals are beautifully organized and help the kids develop confidence and is a great event to participate in. Ms.Pranaya who leads the institute is personally involved with every child and helps in all round development of the enrolled students. We have two daughters attending Pranavam for last 4 years and we are very happy with their progress at Pranavam. We highly recommend Pranavam school of dance for both boys and girls.

Her patience and attention to detail when working with little ones is very impressive. My daughter Srinetra is blessed to have such a great Guru. We are very glad to be part of Pranavam School. Thanks to Ms. Pranaya for her sincere efforts and dedication in organizing the Annual Dance Retail event more memorable and wonderful. This gives the opportunity for every student to perform on stage. My daughter likes her teacher very much.

My 7 yr old daughter has been attending bollywood classes for the past 2 years & Ms Pranaya has been very patient, organized & made it an enjoyable experience at the same time.
