From its humble beginning in 1999 in a garage with a handful of students, Aerodance grew as an Academy to offer Indian Ethnic, Folk, Patriotic, Devotional, Bollywood, Fusion, modern, and Contemporary dance styles to more than 1000 students in the Bay Area and became a forerunner in winning all Bay Area dance competitions. Parents wanted their children to dance for fun, and after one or two years of dancing, students would drop out of dance classes in order to save time for studies. It set the director, Ms. Ranjani Avijit, thinking about levels in dance and designing a graduation program to get the students more passionate about learning dance as an art form.With a double master’s in Child Psychology and as a Kuchipudi exponent, she believed that students ages K–12 can be trained in Indian dance using dance as a creative directional tool that has a positive impact on their academics. She felt that students must experience the benefits of all Indian dances not only physically and socially but also emotionally
Rated 5.0 Last year(2024) Aerodance completed 25 glorious years. We have been part of this journey for the past 8 years. My kids have learned here not just various dance forms, but even life skills like leadership, patience, resilience, discipline, and never give up attitude. The director of the school herself choreographs the dances and ensures that kids get familiar with the different forms of Indian dances. In the process, kids get to learn the rich culture of India. Every year they have the annual dance showcase where teams present their learnings. Their colorful costumes match perfectly with their dance form, and the school makes the right choice of props to go with the dance. Minute details like facial expressions, co-ordinated dance moves with the rest of the team, always face the audience, lip sync are highly emphasized. The dances are always family-friendly, graceful & leave a lasting impression. Aerodancers excel not just in dance, but also in academics, and all round development. We are a proud Aerodance family & highly recommend people to give it a shot.

Rated 5.0 Ranjani garu has lots of expertise in teaching dance to kids. She has lots of patience and the right ways to teach kids. My daughter loves to dance and after joining Aerodance he has improved her skills a lot. She is very encouraging and my kid love her. Highly recommend anyone looking for bollywood or semi classical dance classes.

I cannot stress enough how persistent she is when it comes to tapping the best out of each kids. Classes are offered on a monthly basis with packages starting at $65/month for group sessions. Private and competition-focused training is available at custom rates. Trial classes and sibling discounts are available upon request.
