Asali Events & Desserts While brainstorming names for their new venture, Hanadi and Jamaal combined their last names, Asad and Ali, to form "Asali." They quickly discovered that Asali is also the word for "sweets" and "honey" in both Arabic and Persian. The couple took this happy coincidence as a sign of good luck and, seeing an opportunity to seize their dream, Asali Desserts was officially founded in 2001. Since then, Asali has expanded to include specialty cakes and event services, providing their services and sweets to countless events of all sizes throughout the Triangle. Rated 5.0 Hanadi and her team decorated our two weddings this past Saturday at the Brownstone Hotel in Raleigh NC. She not only transformed the ballroom into a gorgeous and well lit Indian mandap, she filled our church with beautiful flowers, transformed our reception into a magical wonderland and kept everything simple and elegant. I live in NYC so planning a wedding in NC was very difficult but Hanadi was in constant contact and could not have been more helpful. We owe her everything for making our special day all we could imagine and more!
