She is a disicple of Karnataka Kalashri Dr.Tulasi Ramachandra, Mysore, India for over 25 years. Nrithyalaya Dance Academy is a premier dance school which imparts training in the classical Indian dance of Bharatanatyam. Its mission is to promote Bharatanatyam training, workshops, productions, for aspiring students. The training includes cultural, historical and mythological aspects of Indian classical Dance and is based out of Phoenix, Arizona. Nrithyalaya’s training in Bharatanatyam includes Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced and anybody can start as early as 5 years of age. Rashmi, founder and director of Nrithyalaya Dance Academy, emphasizes on quality, technique and aesthetics; and has a holistic approach to dance. She not only acts as a teacher but also a friend and a mentor to her students.

I observed from her classes that the teacher doesn’t teach only dance, she also teaches morals of life through dance.. She helped to perform in many stage programs where she adds more lovely lively touches with its natural gracefulness in her choreography..
