After comprehensive homework coaching that aims to help students turn in every assignment completed accurately and on-time, students participate in a broad array of enrichment activities. By integrating schoolwork and enrichment activities, Smart Studies Learning Center promotes a positive attitude towards learning that motivates students to do their very best.

This program not only prepares Pre K children for the Kindergarten but also helps to build both their conceptual and logical thinking skills. Every student excels the objectives by the end of this 5 month program.

Our Math program will focus on grade appropriate topics and help students to build strong foundation on basic math facts. It also guide students to improve their problem solving and logical thinking skills which should promote them as advanced learners.

Our reading program will focus on the objectives based on the students’ grade levels and Virginia Standards. Students will be able to: Identify and name the uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet. Develop an understanding of basic phonetic principles and expand vocabulary. Match consonant, short vowel, and initial consonant digraph sounds to appropriate letters. Demonstrate comprehension of fictional texts by retelling stories, using beginning, middle, and end and identify characters, setting, and events.

We are offering test prep classes to grades 2 – 8 (NNAT, Cog AT, SOL, IAAT).

Our writing program will focus on the objectives based on the students’ grade levels and Virginia Standards. Students will be able to: Print uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet independently. Print his/her first and last names. Use letters and beginning consonant sounds to spell phonetically words to describe pictures or write about experiences. Focus on hand writing.
