While photography had been a passion of mine ever since I took my first class in high school (I even went on to pursue Fine art in college but ended up following another passion of mine, working with students with special needs) I never took the plunge. My husband knew that owning my own business was a dream I had always wanted to pursue. Due to a whole host of fears, I was never able to take that plunge alone. Those fears ended when my (then) fiancé setting up Heather Elizabeth Studios as a birthday present. On the morning of my 30th birthday, an email popped up, with a link to follow. My husband had purchased a domain for my website. Oh the tears, you know the ones… the big fat happy tears that just won't stop. I am a born and raised Cincinnati native. Through my business I have been blessed to not only meet some of the best families in Cincinnati, but am also lucky enough to now call many of those families friends. My husband often lovingly teases me that I know everyone in Cincinnati… I wish!! On the weekends you will find me all over Cincinnati on shoots, hanging out with my kids, or serving the community. I am a glutton for punishment and still remain a Cincinnati Bengals fan even though my beloved husband has persuaded our kids into rooting for the Steelers. I try not to hold that against him. I am a sucker for a great love story and am known for crying regularly out of happiness. During family sessions you'll find me starting a session by sitting on the floor playing with your kids.
