Sankalpa Dance Foundation
The Dance Foundation is a registered non-profit institution, which helps to propagate and promote Bharatanatyam, a South Indian classical dance form through performances, workshops and lecture demonstrations. Dance classes are offered for beginners and for advanced level students. Nirupama Vaidhyanathan teaches all classes. Class sizes are kept manageably small, with individual attention being given to each student. Students’ progress with other students of their own level. Students joining the school after receiving prior training elsewhere, are placed in classes suitable to their level. All classes are held in Fremont. Guru Nirupama Vaidhyanathan is the lead dancer/ choreographer and is also the President of the Foundation directing its artistic and administrative duties. The dancers of the Foundation are students of the Sankalpa School of Dance, a registered teaching institution.
