My first experience with DJ Raj’s work was at my friend’s wedding where he provided music and lighting. The room was stunning and the music was incredible! Everyone was on the dance floor the whole night. I had such a great time I knew I had to book him for my wedding reception as well, and I am so glad I did. DJ Raj’s staff was so professional and provided our music, lights and a photo booth. DJ Sunny did an incredible job giving us exactly the right energy and vibe for our reception, especially after the management at our venue caused numerous problems throughout our event (Pearl Banquet in Hicksville, NY—definitely avoid!). I am so grateful to DJ Raj and his team for being the highlight of our party and would highly recommend his services for any special event!

We hired Raj (DJ Raj Lighting Events) for event lighting & stage design for an upscale event in Philadelphia, through word of mouth, and he absolutely exceeded our expectations! The owner personally came, saw, and executed the entire event. He worked closely with the venue AND myself to ensure that everything looked elegant , yet dynamic on the dance floor. His ideas for a custom monogram and cool sparklers gave our event an extra flair that really energized the room. The transformation with lighting the venue was extraordinary, the stage he created was perfect for our 8 piece band. His guidance, patience, and professionalism was immeasurable. I don’t know where to even start on how magnificent of a singer, entertainer and person she and her husband are. I hired them to sing at my Dad’s 70th birthday party. It was truly a magical day because of them. They are more than just singers. They were like family. They interacted with everyone, played some fun games and their singing was out of this world, great! Extremely professional and their attention to detail was great. They played all my dad’s favorite songs and everyone was so happy. 2 weeks later, I’m still getting calls from my family thanking me and singing their praises. Mehekte Sur is amazing! They are full of energy and we loved them. Great planning, attention to detail, and crowd engagement. Vinay had the right mix of retro, Bhangra and latest hits during the DJ segment. He is also very comedic so having him at your next event will be entertaining. The is duo is very talented and have a wonderful voice. They are also super easy to work with so 10/10 would recommend! What a way to ring in the New Year and celebrate my Dad’s 50th.

Aparna and Vinay, both singers of this group are fantastic. We had their musical program in last weekend. About 175 people attended it and everybody loved their singing. Their selection of songs was very nice too. Even though all our members are seniors, they became young and were dancing with full energy with the songs and the music. I will love to hear this kind of talent again and again.

Vinay & Aparna are two of the most beautiful people inside & out! They were so easy to communicate with and made everything so seamless and stress free for our Mehendi event! They sang their heart out for us and truly created the entire vibe of the event. It was the first event for our wedding festivities and they made us and celebrating our love feel so special! Vinay and Aparna are electric! They performed at my Uncle'e Sangeet in Edison and absolutely killed it. My family doesn't normally dance but Vinay managed to bring all of my Uncles and cousins out of their seats and onto the dance floor!!! Friends giving and a mehfil that will be truly remembered due the efforts of Vinay and Aparna from Mehete Sur. They had a unique way to become one of us (mind you we are middle school friends in our fifties) getting us all involved and even getting people with two left feet dance away. They both have great voices and more so the warmth and love they sing with. The range of songs from 1950 to 2022 they covered favourites and they truly became the jaan of our get together. Aparna and Vinay performed at our daughter's Roka ceremony. One of the unique things was, since our son-in-law to be is Malyalli, we requested a malyalli song, and the two did an outstanding job! Vinay and Aparna have been close friends for over 25 years. It’s a sheer delight watching this lovely couple blossom into star performers. I have had a chance to do a couple of ghazal shows with them too. They are so in tune with the times and are able to bring a unique combination of old and new, tailoring memorable performances for their audiences. I recently watched them perform at a friend’s daughter’s graduation party. Vinay was the MC entertaining the crowd with a wide variety of old and new songs, tailored to the audience’s tastes and requests, while Aparna was singing one hit after the other in her mellifluous voice!
