His playing style is known for melding the effect of the human voice and the instrumental tone into a harmonious whole. Habib Khan lives and teaches in Bay Area and is the founder and artistic director of the Habib Khan Saraswati Temple and Gurukul, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the classical music of North India.
