He is the founder of North Carolina Raga Revival as well as a School of Rag Indian Music Academy located in Chapel Hill NC and Brooklyn NY. He received training on the Indian violin known as Esraj by the late Sarangi Maestro Pt Ramesh Misra.Shabass Sounds formed in Jan of 2016 as progressive quartet that explored folk, eastern, and western classical music.
