I am getting lessons on classical vocal Sangeet through e-learning by meetkalarar artist Shri Prashant Kalundrekar. Earlier before joining, I did not have any idea about e- learning of classical sangeet. But after joining and completing 5 classes, I felt it is very very helpful, interesting and effective. May be because of the technique adopted by artist Shri Prashant Sir is unique and excellent. I am enjoining his teaching technique and growing interest in classical sangeet day by day. Though I started very very late in my life, still I am gradually feeling growing interest within me and trying to enter into the deep of this subject.

I have enjoyed every session of learning with Vaidehiji. She is an excellent teacher, very patient, she explains everything theorotically and practically. Her pace of teaching is also excellent, whereby, i get a chance to grasp and understand what she is teaching me. My sessions with Vaidehiji has been very fruitful for me, as i can definitely see an improvement in my voice since i started. I am 50 years old and always had liking towards music . Due to some reason or other I could never pay any attention and there by ignored even the basic understanding of music . Off late I decided to learn Hindustani Vocal . However due to many un avoidable reasons could not know how to start about it . In the mean while I came across the web site of meetkalakar . When contacted , after few interaction with Meetkalakar I could get to know Mr. Harshad Dongre an excellent young and talented person who could teach me the basics of Hindustani Vocals . Now sitting at home I have started the basics of Hindustani vocal under the guidance of Harshad Sir and hopefully I could continue further for the rest of my life . It is possible always to pull out some time and try to full fill our left out aspiration at any point of life .

Didi (Pallavi Mehta) is a joy to learn from. I have been her student since May and have taken exclusively online classes from her. Didi has a long history of teaching and understood clearly the level I entered at. She has a deep repertoire of sitar music and is flexible in her teaching style. I am a French Mathematician, passionate about Indian culture and specially Indian classical music. I took some lessons of Sitar in Mumbai, with Pallavi Mehta, but as I live in Paris, 7000 km from there, I also wanted to practice when I was back home. It is a real pleasure to be one of her online students, because Pallavi is a great teacher. She always gives the best of herself, and online lessons are exactly as the ones I took in Mumbai. With Skype and a webcam, it's easy to follow her explanations, to listen to her when she plays, to see the right position for hands or fingers, and to play with her. Each lesson is one hour long. Pallavi follows my work and checks the details as well as the global way I play. I like this because I think it is the best way to make progress. It is an honour and a pleasure to be her student.

Have been taking harmonium lessons for a little over 6 months with Saro sir. What an amazing experience. I started with Zero and now can play very confidently. Lots of practise, lots of encouragement and a totally enjoyable experience. I’m 67 years old. Hats off to the teacher and to the school!!

I was always fascinated by the beautiful instrument that Sitar is, I started taking classes in the eleventh standard but that was for a short while as the pressure of my class XII board exams took over. Subsequently I graduated from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore in 2010 and started working at a law firm in Bombay. My fascination for the seven stringed beauty resurfaced and I found an excellent guru in Pallavi didi to guide me in learning the Sitar. My days at Soor Academy have been joyful and merry. However, I shifted to Chennai after a year but I am glad that I have continued to take classes from Pallavi Didi over Skype. I hope my association with Soor Academy lasts for a lifetime.
