The AATMA Performing Arts dance school was founded to bridge the gap between Indian and modern forms of movement. The school prides itself on providing a strong foundation in ballet, Indian classical dance, and modern street styles (Hip-Hop and Bollywood). As an Indian dance company who primarily uses Bollywood music, we teach our students not only discipline in body movement but the art of facial expression and stage presence, while providing an understanding of lyrics and culture to enhance our students' depth of performance. AATMA's highly-trained dancers have worked with some of the industry's top artists around the world. Our goal is to deliver a "WOW" factor to our clients while maintaining a genuine balance of both eastern and western art forms. AATMA Performing Arts’ accredited dance school teaches at 9 studios in New Jersey and New York. Our group classes are conducted in a wide range of styles (Bollywood, Indo-Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and Indian Folk) for students ages 4 and up. Students of the AATMA Performing Arts dance school work collaboratively in class and perform at competitions, community events, concerts, NBA games, and AATMA's annual dance recital. Our goal is to develop students into versatile performers with a strong Indian and Western dance vocabulary. We have rental costumes for men and women.
Rated 5.0 My son has been with Aatma for 5 years now and its been an amazing journey. He has gone from "Boys don't dance" to Choreographing dances for the Community festival. He looks forward to his Hip-Hop and Bollywood class a lot. Amazing Choreography, Expert Instructors, Friendly atmosphere, Overwhelmingly Grand-Broadway level - Annual Recital, Opportunities throughout the year to perform at various events - i think that about sums it up. Thanks to Aatma for all that you have done for my son. You have changed him for the better.
Rated 5.0 AATMA is by far the best dance school in the area! My daughter has been dancing at AATMA for 3 years and since then she has grown tremendously! The instructors are extremely dedicated, passionate, and strive for perfection. The students can showcase their talent at some amazing Bollywood shows in the tri-state area. The annual recital is truly amazing to watch. I really recommend joining AATMA for anyone who is passionate about dance!!

Rated 5.0 I rarely ever write reviews but I simply had to submit this one because let me start by saying that Amit and Kruti's charisma are absolutely sensational! They are not only great dancers and choreographers, but they provide a great environment to learn how to dance to learners at all levels. Because of them I am able to cross off one of my bucket list items - dancing with my son (who is an absolutely wonderful dancer, thanks again to Amit, Kruti and rest of the dance crew) on the same stage!! Laksh and I are simply delighted to have you as our coaches. Great attitude, always fun. AND best of all, always ready to take it up a notch!!!! Thank you guys for all your hard work and vision of going international. We are really thankful to have found you!

Amit Shah , Kruti and Aatma's dance instructors are very talented and wonderful and great folks to be associated with . I totally recommend this school to anybody who wants to excel with dance as their passion - it truly brings out the best in their students.
