Rated 5.0 I met Shila Didi 5 years ago when I joined a kathak workshop. Since then, I knew I wanted to come back and learn kathak on a long term basis with Shila Didi. I started my kathak classes with her during the pandemic when everything became virtual. But Shila Didi’s attention to detail and pointing out little and big mistakes never made me feel as if I wasn’t in front of her. She projects her love for kathak onto each of her students.
Rated 5.0 I have not met a teacher/ guru like Shila didi. Not only is Shila didi extremely passionate about Kathak as an art form but also about teaching it. I started my online training in 2020 and I have already learnt so much. She is very giving and always wants the best for her students. Shila mehta is patient and guides you in the right manner, breaking everything down correctly. I am blessed to be learning from her.
Rated 5.0 Learning Kathak from Shila didi has been such a valuable experience for me - of course as excellent dance training but also as a way of life… it’s as if she lights up the road, clears the fog and guides me so that I can go forward in a safe way… She is such an inspiration!
Rated 5.0 I am so incredibly blessed to be able to learn this divine dance form from Shila Di! She is the epitome of Guru; she truly is a talented and passionate teacher. Learning dance so late in life, has been a challenge & Shila Di has always shown tremendous patience & encouragement. She is an exceptional performer who values the minute nuances of the dance form. Thank you Shila Di for such a wonderful experience!”
Rated 5.0 experience that is able to mold almost anyone to be a better dancer. She takes a holistic and spiritual approach that includes both dance, rhythm, language and discipline. I enjoyed every minute of my time learning with her.
