Rated 5.0 In my opinion, the best Hindi learning program in the Bay Area! My daughter has been in this program since PreK and reads and writes Hindi only a couple of grade levels below where she would be in India! Cannot recommend this program highly enough. Madhu, the founder, is amazing: inspirational, loving, and rigorous in her teaching methods. Please note if you are interested in conversational Hindi only, taking a class once a week is not going to cut it. You need to spend several hours a day speaking Hindi.
Rated 5.0 MBK Hindi is the place to go if you want to learn Hindi. This center is not just for little kids but also for high school students and adults. I've been going to MBK for 2 years and I can honestly say I can completely speak, read, and write Hindi very well. The curriculum can be hard but if you put your mind to it you will defiantly benefit from it. I have learned a lot in the last 2 years my vocabulary has improved so much. In MBK we learned lots of vocabulary, we read some amazing literature, we even learned about the art and culture of India. It's been a lot of fun. Hindi is a beautiful language and if you are interested in learning it you should definitely go to MBK Language Center.
Rated 5.0 This is my third year in MBK and I have greatly improved in writing and speaking Hindi. In Hindi one, I came to the class hardly knowing the alphabet, and could not speak Hindi. Through my years in Hindi, my reading, writing, and conversational skills have improved ten fold. I can now carry on a conversation in Hindi. In MBK, we have read a variety of books and texts that are interesting and easy to comprehend. The books are chosen thoughtfully and taught very well. Projects are given appropriately and sometimes curved around our tight school schedules. I highly recommend this program as it has improved my Hindi speaking, reading, and writing skills.
Rated 5.0 For the past three years, I have been learning Hindi from this MBK Hindi Language Center. By doing this, I gained high school and college credits that were used towards my graduation requirements. The class itself was extremely fun and interesting. There are lots of activities through this language learning program including a Holi festival which was tons of fun! In the class, we learn lots of vocabulary and the great teachers make the complicated grammar seem like a piece of cake to learn. They also motivate us to become excellent in this subject. Most of this vocabulary comes from famous stories, plays, and poems. Grading is fair, and is an accurate reflection of how well you know the language and how much you participate in the class activities. MBK offers classes for the beginner to the very advanced so even if you don't know Hindi at all, you can still start learning.
Rated 5.0 I am currently in my third year of Hindi class with MBK. I have learned so much in the time I have attended this class that I am able to read the signs and books in India and converse with many of my relatives very easily. In MBK, Hindi students are educated well about the Hindi language as well as the Hindu religion. The two aspects of MBK come together well because we read books that are associated with Hinduism in the Hindi language. This helps students develop a better understanding for what India is like. Students learn how to speak, write, read, and converse easily in Hindi. The teachers help out students by focusing on individuals that need help until the student thoroughly understands. MBK is a great program for any child that would like to learn a language that is not as common as others!
