Lasya Academy is affiliated with Bharatiya Peeth, Pune and follows a prescribed curriculum of the university. Students are offered to take dance certification exams as well as encouraged to perform on stage. We are committed to giving professional and outstanding performances to share the beauty and complexity of the "Kathak" dance form. The academy has been invited to perform for packed audiences at various prestigious venues around the DC area.

The performance opportunities that the students receive at this academy are unmatched by any other kathak teacher in the area. The environment in class is highly supportive, and by the way, neither of my daughters speak Gujurati, and have a very basic understanding of Hindi - language is not a barrier at this academy! Rated 2.0 Classes are Gujarati community centric. If your kid is from a non-Gujarati speaking community, she will not get proper attention. Non Gujarati kids are the only ones who will be pulled out in classes constantly. Owner conducts classes 99% in Gujarati focusing attention and appreciation only towards Gujarati speaking kids.
