Dance Ke Deewane strives to illustrate that Fusion and Bhangra are not just dance styles, but a way to express oneself, to support others, and to leave a lasting impact on the community. The DKD board is working tirelessly to have Bollywood-Fusion and Bhangra appreciated by the South Florida community while benefiting the community through charity donations. The Academy of Odissi Dance (AOD), established in 1999 by Smt. Gopa Rautray, has been a pioneer in promoting Indian culture through different dance forms, emphasizing the classical dance form Odissi. The students have also been introduced to Bollywood, Bhangra, Garba-Raas, Contemporary, and various Folk Dances of India. The Academy has helped out a number of charitable organizations in raising their funds. Currently, the AOD is growing with over 75 students. The vision of the Academy is to enrich the Tampa Bay population by bringing artists from all across the country to share their talents on a unified platform.
