About Sri Sai Temple

Sai Baba of Shirdi, also known as Shirdi Sai Baba, was an Indian guru, yogi, and fakir who is regarded by his Hindu and Muslim devotees as a saint. Many devotees believe that he was a Satguru, an enlightened Sufi Pir, or a Qutub. Sri Sai Satcharita Sri Sai Satcharita is a discourse on the experiences devotees had with Sri Sai and the preachings of Baba. Baba got it written through Sri Anna Saheb Dhabhlkar by giving inner motivation to him. Sri Sai Satcharitra is published by Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Samsthan in various Indian languages and in English. It is included as part of this website for the benefit of the devotees who do not have access to paper copies of this Holy book.

            Never throw out plastic bags, paper waste, edibles and coconut shells around the temple premises. The practice of giving sanctified food (prasad) is for eating, do not throw it away.

              • Maintain silence, decorum and reverence at the Sanctum sanctorum

              Practice humility at least in the holy atmosphere. Maintain absolute silence in the presence of the deity; make your prayers silently. In your enthusiasm to devour the beauty of the divine form in full, do not obstruct the view of those standing behind you. Do not yell out God's holy name too emotionally, as this could disturb other devotees who are silently praying to God.
