We at American Dance Studios encourage all students to focus on their particular artistic discipline by combining intense study with retention and choreography games. A short test is given at the end of each session and students are rewarded for their hard work! We feel this encourages and motivates our dancers to excel to their highest potental. Three-year-olds are quite new to learning how their bodies move, as well as how to behave in a classroom. Children in this program are gently introduced to the classroom environment. Because children at this age love and need repetition, the same class is repeated several times before being changed. Some of the concepts taught are stretching the feet, balancing on one leg, weight transfers from one foot to the other, jumping, simple arm movements, stretching and moving across the floor.
Rated 5.0 When I was looking for a new summer experience for my daughters, I did a Google search and fortunately ADS came up as a local dance school. I read the reviews and also received positive feedback from former clients. I was comforted by the warm reception Miss Sherri gave my girls and myself upon our first visit to check out the studio. My girls had always been to traditional day camps and have limited dance backgrounds, so we were nervous. Yet, we knew immediately that this was the nurturing environment that would provide them with a combination of dance skills, diversity and fun! They absolutely enjoy going to the studio everyday and spending their day with Miss Sherri, Miss Nicole and all the other expert instructors, as well as new friends they've made. It feels like a real family and the girls can truly be themselves and their confidence is growing everyday! They're learning different disciplines such as tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, latin, acro and even dance history! It's a wonderful fantastic place! I highly recommend it!
