Bartelt Dancers is currently home to over 200 dancers from throughout Central Ohio. We specialize in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, musical theater, creative movement, and ballroom classes for ages three to adult. Since opening our doors in 1990, our goal has been to provide quality dance instruction and education to our students. We strive to build self-confident and knowledgeable dancers of all ages. Our positive and creative environment sets the stage for the development of mind, body, and imagination. Kathy Bartelt is the artistic director and studio owner of Bartelt Dancers. She has been teaching in the Columbus area for over 25 years and has a BFA in Dance with a minor in child development from Texas Christian University. She danced two years with the Fort Worth Ballet and with Third Street Moving Company. Kathy has taught for OSU Continuing Education, Fort Hayes Career Center, and currently teaches ballet, modern, and dance history at Otterbein University. Kathy has produced nationally recognized choreography, taught students for Rhythmic Jr. Olympics and has several former students as professional dancers and more pursuing professional dance careers.
