Belltown Dance Studio
Harika is a Kuchipudi Classical Indian and Bollywood dancer and choreographer. She started learning dance at the age of 3 from Guru Kantham Chatlapalli and completed her Kuchipudi Rangapravesam in 2003. Since then her career in dance has involved recognition as both a professional dancer and choreographer at various competitions, cultural & community events, and by Fox Network’s, So You Think You Can Dance. Harika is an Honorable Mention recipient of the National Foundation for the Advancement of Arts and received the Folk Arts Apprenticeship in Indian Classical dance from the New York State Council on the Arts.
Rated 5.0 I always tell people.. when it comes to dancing I have no rhythm. I just started my first salsa lesson here and I thought I would really struggle to keep up. Surprisingly to me I don't feel like I'm doing terrible! The class moves at a pace that makes it possible to follow the basics. It's very fun and I love the added humor
Rated 5.0 Dear Jim, I just want you to know that the beginning and intermediate Salsa on 2 was the first time I ever really enjoyed a dance class. As you could have guessed I'm not much of a dancer but I tag along because my wife loves dance. I had the most fun at your studio. Sorry I missed the last class - my work caught up with me. I hope to see you around at socials.
Rated 5.0 Belletown Dance studio is such an upbeat, positive place. Jim really cares about his students, and his dance socials are amazingly inclusive and friendly. His special monthly dances are really popular. His Sunday salsa/bachata socials begin early enough to arrive home at a decent time, yet go long enough, to drop in and get a good amount of dancing in. People come from all around to dance at this studio, including the Northend, Eastside, and southend. It's easy to make new friends. Everyone is so nice! Check it out!
Rated 5.0 Jim choreographed our first dance. He did a great job! He was easy to work with, very helpful and patient and carefully explained every step. My husband went from no dance experience other than flailing his arms to being able to do a number of Waltz steps after only two lessons. After lessons we decided to start taking dancing classes on a regular base! As for the result , we did great in the wedding! All our guests were in shock when they saw us dance and it was so much fun! Definitely recommend Jim as a great dance teacher and choreographer!
