I am a proficient singer/performer with over 5 years of experience in Carnatic Music and Indian Film Music. I have participated and won in several competitions in the US like SyeATA, Voice of ATA to name a few. My guru is Sri. Mohan Gandhi, an experienced Carnatic Singer and Music Composer who is based from Chennai and holds a Masters Degree in Music from University of Madras and is on his way to complete a PhD. I have been learning under him for more than 10 years.I am very passionate towards imparting my knowledge in Music to people of all age groups. Having completed 7 grades of Western Classical Piano from Trinity College, London, my teaching style will incorporate Piano basics as well so that the students understand the bridge between Western and Indian Classical Music. I am keen towards driving my students to participate and win in competitions to gain more experience in performing. Apart from competitions, I would also be taking students for performances in temple and events in the Bay Area to get more exposure.With the busy schedule of adults and kids in the Bay Area, it is getting harder to spare time to be present at a teacher's place, so apart from taking group lessons at my address in San Jose, I am also offering to take classes at your home.
