Mukthambar Fine Arts Inc. has provided training and education to many talented young artists, many of whom are highly accomplished professionals in their own right. We offer classes in Carnatic Music (Vocal and Instrumental), Bharathanatyam, Mohiniattam, Kuchipudi, Folk, Nattuvangam (Cymbals), as well as courses in Music Theory, Dance Theory, and Religious Studies in Music/Dance. Classes are held at several locations including our home studio in New Hyde Park, NY (11040) seven days a week. Rated 5.0 The first concert was by Smt. Saavitri Ramanand, supported on the violin by Sri. B.Raghuttam and on the mridangam by Sri. Murali Balachandran. Smt. Saavitri chose as her theme the krithis of Thyagaraja on other deities. The highlight of her concert was a brilliantly rendered Kalyani alapana followed by the Kovoor Pancharatna krithi “Ninnu nammi vacchina”.
