Kala Eternal Rhythms
Raju Deshmukh learned the art of Tabla playing from Guru Shree Chuttanlal Pakhawaji of the Banares Gharana. This art was passed down to him in the classical music tradition of Guru To Disciple. Raju earned his music degree from M.S. University Of Baroda, India. He has continued his pursuit of this art by working with the honorable tabla maestro Swapan Chowdhury, an instructor at the Ali Akbar Music College in San Rafael, California. Recently he has also started learning from Pt. Ashok Maitra. As a professional performer, he believes his students will be part of a new generation of musicians who seek to learn and appreciate the Tabla as a traditional Indain art form. At Kala Eternal Rhythms school, training is available for beginners as well as experienced students.
