Helen's Baton And Dance Studio was founded in 1982 by Helen Newcombe. Helen began her twirling career in Colorado at an early age. As the "Golden Girl" of Colorado State University, she was named one of the top twirlers in the United States and performed at the Indianapolis 500. As the director of Helen's Starettes of Pasco County, her Parade corp and students won numerous local, state, and national awards. Her daughter, Anita Hoy continued to manage the business after Helen's retirement. As Anita's massage business began to blossom, her daughter Kailin Hoy began managing the dance studio. Since the studio has been open is has seen numerous family generations of both dancers, gymnasts, and twirlers. The studio has competed in both dance and gymnastics competitions over the years as well as provided a place for recreational practice. Every year the studio participates in local shows and parades held by the Zephyrhills community. In addition, we hold an annual dance recital to showcase what the students have learned throughout the year.
