Dancing is complete when you understand and emote to every beat, every lyrics of the song. Dance Tantra welcomes both new bees and experienced ones to take their dancing skills to the next level. Piyali is known as a passionate performer, creative choreographer and dynamic director. She started learning Bharatnatyam as early as 3 years old and continued learning and performing under different Maestros and Danseuses in Kolkata for 22 years in Kolkata. She continued her passion to learn by exploring Western dance forms such as Tap, Flamenco and various other dance forms. She is consistently dancing, choreographing, directing and producing shows in Seattle area for past 9 years. She is loving and fun-loving teacher for kids dances too. When she is not dancing, Piyali works as an Insurance professional for Liberty Mutual Insurance. She has two beautiful daughters who seem eager to follow in her footsteps. She also directs various fundraising shows for local non-profits and cultural organizations .After a lot of thought, she decided to start her own academy "Dance-Tantra". This is not only a dance institute; it is a place where individuals will learn and grow as a better creative person.
