Passionate about dancing, Preya has been performing folk and Bollywood dances since childhood. Her formal Classical training in Kathak under the guidance of Guru Smt. Jamuna Mitcham, at SIA-Academy, began 13 years ago and since then, has developed into a deep commitment towards the art form, rewarding her physically and spiritually. Following her visions of dancing, singing and painting forever, Preya continues to perform as well as teach Indian Classical Dance in the New York area. Aside from dancing, Preya teaches Computer Graphics at City University New York (CUNY) part-time and full-time is a Graphic Artist and Fine Art Painter, running her own graphics and printing business, KalArt Studios.
