Robatics Bootcamp (Suitable for ages 8 – 12 Years)
The course focuses on exploring the world of Robotics from a professional engineering perspective. Special emphasis on programming solutions will promote the creation of sophisticated and accurate robots to study the fields of Science, Technology, Mechanical and Software Engineering, and Math (STEM) comprehensively.
The aim of Robo LEGO is to introduce children to both the theoretical and the practical sides of mechanical engineering and software development. The course nurtures algorithmic thinking and implementation, using the LEGO® We-Do programming language. Students build a robot from LEGO parts at each lesson and program it to perform the required function. Programming will be conducted predominantly in English.
The LEGO Challenge program introduces elementary school children (ages 6-12) to the basic principles of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). By integrating basic arithmetic learned in school with an intuitive active learning process, children grasp a better understanding of the fundamentals of physics and engineering concepts.
This fun and unique program is for young kids in preschool, daycare and kindergarten (ages 3-5). The Big Builders program incorporates tactile, motor, and spatial skills while introducing science and engineering principles using K’nex® building blocks. These programs are conducted in small groups to ensure each Big Builder obtains the intended knowledge and experience.
At Eureka STEM Academy, we are passionate about technology and believe that every child should have an opportunity to get an early start in learning the STEM skills that will be critical for their success in our rapidly evolving and increasingly technological society. Our programs are geared towards providing children ages 4-10 with unique STEM learning opportunities in an atmosphere that focuses on FUN while learning!
