Rated 5.0 I started my journey in the art of Bharatha Natyam with Dr. Barboza 20 years ago. I was one of his first students in the USA. As a young girl I always knew I wanted to learn dance. My parents put me in dance class with Guru Dr. Barboza and I have learned the art of Bharatha Natyam and realized dancing is my passion under his professional teaching and guidance. He is extremely professional as he is well educated and has endless information regarding this art form. I continue to keep in touch with him even now and hope to start my young daughter who is 5 years old under Dr. Barboza’s discipleship! Rated 5.0 I had the pleasure of attending Satyaradhana’s School of Dance and had the blessing of having Dr. Francis Barboza as my Guru. My journey began at the age of 7 and continued throughout my time in college. Dr. Barboza is a kind, knowledgeable and talented dancer and mentor. His choreography is beautiful and unique. When one of our Guru’s students steps on stage, you can’t take your eyes off of them. I was blessed to be able to spend my Saturdays at this dance school. I’ve gained a lifelong mentor and guru, as well as a second family (my dance group) that I still am in touch with to this day. Satyaradhana School of Dance will always be my home. I would recommend Dr. Barboza to anyone who is even slightly interested in Bharatanatyam. He will make you fall in love with this craft. Rated 5.0 I came across Satyaradhana Institute of Performing Arts many years ago when I was desperately in search for a male Bharatanatyam teacher. As a young boy, I was very insecure about my love and interest for this art form and I wanted a male Guru to guide me and be my role model as I navigated this journey of self discovery through dance. Dr. Francis Barboza fulfilled that and so much more. 14 years ago, Dr. Barboza took me under his wing and generously taught me from the simple basic steps (adavus) all the way to entire Margams/repertoires. Thanks to his guidance I have grown significantly as a dancer, student, and human being. I am forever grateful to Dr. Francis Barboza for all his teachings and I plan to continue my journey with Dr. Barboza as a life long student. Dr. Barboza is an incredibly knwoledgable exponent of this art form and I can assure you that whoever learns from him is in capable hands.
