Rated 3.0 Not the best place in the world. Also not the worst. Paneer tikka masala was on point. (Nice and spicy.) Rice and naan weren't. Fries were soggy. I might come back and try the tikka masala burrito bc I'm super into fusion things. Who isn't?
Rated 4.0 This is the very definition of the term "gem" when used in the restaurant world. Samosa Hut goes above and beyond when it comes to good food and great service! We were in the mood for Indian food, so Samosa Hut it was! We got there a little after the lunch hour, so there was plenty of room in the large dining area. We took a look over the menu, the man at the register was very helpful telling us what this was made out of, if ghee was in anything, etc. We started with an order of the Vegetable Pakoras, and my fiance had the special "Pizza" samosas. She really enjoyed the samosas, and we both liked the Pakoras. Just a hint, there is a lot of food that comes with the Vegetable Pakoras, plenty for 3 or 4 people...just keep that in mind. I then ordered the Thai Coconut curry. It had great flavors! The coconut with a hint of lime, and a slight hit of spice. Very comforting! Tip: There is a Yelp check in discount, so don't forget to check in before you check out! For all of you that love Indian food, please don't overlook this spot!
Rated 5.0 Samosa hut is so great. Go when you get a chance.... those fries? A.ma.zing. There are some spicy foods and some non spicy foods, just know what to ask for! Easy parking, easy to find. Quick access to highway.
Rated 3.0 Stopped by for something exotic on my lunch break. Actually came in a bit early and got some serious stare downs from the kitchen staff, kinda scary, but the door was open and it was after 11 so... maybe he was not a morning person? Anyway, I did end up getting my order taken 5 min earlier than opening so credit for that. I ordered their signature chicken tikka curry bowl and it came with fragrant jasmine rice and a frozen, microwaved naan bread. That part was disappointing but the curry was pretty good. I had never had curry at a restaurant before but I was pleased. It was warm with a good spicy kick but it did lack a little in flavor. It was supposed to be a tomato based curry and it could have used more of a tomato/saucy flavor. The curry flavor, however, came through pretty good and I did get a creaminess that went very well with my rice. The portion was good and I had plenty left over after I was full. A little scant on the chicken however, they really need to up their portion sizing of chicken because we pay extra for. It's a quiet, hole in the wall restaurant that is small with a simple design. While the location and kitchen staff may seem a little scary, you will walk away full and with an authentic taste of India. Please improve on the portion size of the meat.
Rated 3.0 Went here for dinner on a Friday and had no problems with service, It was great. I ordered the vindaloo with chicken and it was fine, not really spicy though. It was a bit thinner than I've had at other places. I know where to get better vindaloo and because of that would not return specifically for that dish. I agree with other reviews and say the bread leaves much to be desired. I must say though that the lentil samosa was really good and I would go back to order some of those and a different dish to try, maybe korma. I did not care for the Thai samosa, it was just ok.
