Pooja is a dedicated teacher who takes pride in focusing on the details and emphasizing on perfection and quality in bringing the best in each and every student. She runs her dance classes in Westlake and in the East side of Cleveland, Ohio.
Rated 5.0 My daughter Rhea has been learning Bharatanatyam from Ms. Pooja Shyam for the last 3 years. She is the most dedicated teacher I have seen thus far in this field. She is genuinely interested in teaching the kids the love for the art form. She is focused on quality vs. artificially progressing the kids before they are completely ready. Furthermore, she takes time out of her personal life to coach the parents on how to better help their kids with the art form. Her dedication is evident by the fact that in the 3 years I have known her, she has never prompted any of the parents for class fees despite my payments getting delayed sometime. During COVID time, she shifted classes to online instruction and offered free of charge extra classes to work with the kids and help them appreciate the finer details and quality of dancing. She goes out of her in helping parents be part of this journey as well as gives them support in acquiring the costumes, jewelry etc. We feel lucky to have known Pooja and her family through the years and my daughter genuinely enjoys learning from Pooja. We wish Pooja all the very best.
