I am a henna artist located in central Connecticut. I have a love of art and have found a way to channel my creativity into this beautiful ancient tradition. Henna is a natural dye derived from a plant. The leaves of the henna plant are dried and sifted into a fine powder. I mix the henna powder with lemon juice, cajeput and lavender oil to create a dark-staining paste. I never use "black henna" which is usually henna mixed with black hair dye. It can cause serious reactions and scarring in up to 15% of people that use it. I also never use store bought or pre mixed imported henna as it contains dyes and chemicals. I am available for individual appointments, bridal henna, and girl’s night out parties, festivals, fairs, corporate events, and conferences.

Rated 5.0 Jamilah did an amazing job with my henna for my wedding last month! She was extremely sweet and considerate, having swapped many many emails with me for months leading up to the event. Her designs were beautiful and creative, and were better than what I had in mind. She even stayed back to re-do a portion that I had accidentally smudged, and was very nice about it (sorry again! :)). I would highly recommend her services to anyone! Thank you! :)
