A horse-drawn carriage or a riding horse is an excellent addition to a Baraat Ceremony with the groom arriving to the wedding in style. The carriage allows family members to ride with the groom and allows the groom to get down and dance as he pleases. A riding horse is also available for a spectacular ceremonial procession. We provide a white horse decorated with a gorgeous red and gold costume imported from India. Our horses are well accustomed to the joyous Baraat Ceremony and have no issues with dohl players, loud music, clapping and dancing. From the Business:Owners and drivers Jodi and Paul Fry have been around horses all their lives. Jodi's family owned horses all of her life. She was fascinated with horses, and learned to ride and care for them from her older sister and began showing at the age of 4. From there she attended many playdays, trained her own horses and eventually made it to LSHSRA High School Rodeos. From a very young age, it was easy to see these wonderful creatures would always be an important part of her life and her family.Husband Paul has been a horse enthusiast as well for many years, he served the Hunt county and surrounding areas working cattle and being a true Texas Cowboy. In 2003 he began driving in Downtown Dallas when Jodi was 8 months pregnant with their youngest son.The couple has 3 sons, Tylor, Logan, and Zackary. The Fry family also consists of a minimum of 23 horses.In 2003 while attending college to become a Veterinarian, Jodi was given the opportunity to purchase and drive Ranger, a 1/2 Percheron 1/2 Paint gelding. He had been working in downtown Dallas that previous year, and proved to be a natural at his job. Ranger is the most docile of creatures with a wonderful willing attitude. As you can see from pictures he's also a real beauty.In 2005 they purchased a 2nd carriage as well as an additional horse. Opie is a Belgium cross who is a veteran carriage horse, who has preformed many events around the downtown area as well.Lotsa Spots Carriage business is still growing. From the Business:Shannon Cole has had the privilege of being with horses for her entire life. The affinity that she has gained by growing up with these magnificent creatures has given her a remarkable sense of responsibility, spirituality, and a greater overall understanding of people and animals. They are truly her passion! She grew up on a cattle ranch in southwest North Dakota. Her father also had 100 Thoroughbreds that were bred and raced throughout the US and Canada. It was on that farm that she began taking riding lessons at the age of 3 from her older sister, Dr. Joy Cole DVM, a former competitor with the Equestrian Team of the University of Tennessee, and who is currently a veterinarian in Virginia. Shannon competed in rodeos and play days in North Dakota ,and was active in the local 4-H until she moved to Lexington, Kentucky at the age of 10 where she began English riding lessons and competed with hunter-jumpers (she trained her own horse to jump) and equitation under saddle well through her teenage years. She lived and competed in New Jersey and Florida for a year before moving to Texas in 1990 at the age of 15, where she has remained ever since.Read more
