Lavanya was instrumental in our first home purchase in Princeton in 2025. She got introduced to me first as a neighbor in 2022. Though I was not working with her then, I reached out to her for some advice related to a property in 2024 and she shared some deep insights on what to expect given the situations we were in with a specific property. It turned out just the way she had explained. Our first offer to a home and the experience with another dual agent realtor was pretty bad. After working with other agents for few years, I decided to work with Lavanya for our next offer. The whole experience since then till we closed on that property and even beyond (Moving in, finding handyman support etc) was filled with lot of care and affection from Lavanya. It was not just another business transaction for both of us. Without her, I don’t think we would have got our home dream come true. What our family liked about working with Lavanya is her friendliness, transparency, openness to ideas and trying out new people, knowledge of the market and the drives of each player and how to manage them, negotiation skills, deep roots in Indian value system and extreme focus on getting things done in favor of her clients. On a number of occasions, her experience and expertise saved a first time buyer like us from several careless mistakes made by my other team members which lead to unnecessary troubles and delays in the whole buying process. To quote one such example - we were on the verge of getting our loan application declined just 2 days before closing date and Lavanya made sure things are put on track on time. I can’t forget those last 3-4 days of ordeal just before the closing and how Lavanya saved the whole exercise from falling apart. As someone who has benefited from working with Lavanya, I have few secrets to share if you decide to work with her for your real estate needs. 1. Be FAIR, open and honest with your needs and communicate them clearly upfront when you discuss with her. After that she would do the searches as if she was working for her own home based on those requirements. 2. Request her to provide you with options on other team members who could help you win the deal. In hindsight, we realized that her choices were much better and professional. 3. Treat her like a good friend and give her some room to play with. The curious child in her would innovatively combine something and surprise you with interesting options, if you provide that space. When you are in doubt on any process with home buying, her expertise is the best thing to lean on. 4. Give her enough time for her homework and she will respond promptly and fully. She pays undivided attention when she spends time with her clients and will do her full homework before getting back to your queries. On a number of occasions, I knew, she skipped her lunches and dinner while supporting us. 5. She remembers all the finer details of your conversations while she is processing your needs. You could ask her for any information you might have overlooked, and she could immediately recall those points from your conversations and guide you! In our lives, we rarely find good and knowledgeable people to work with and find happiness while dealing with them. Lavanya Boopalam is one of those rare finds for us. Beyond our home needs, we ended up finding a good friend for life. Her knowledge of Tamil and Telegu languages could make your conversation feel homely, just in case you happen to speak those languages.
