Moore
The Marie Moore School of Irish Dancing began in 1990 in Scotch Plains, NJ. The School then expanded to Manhattan and Queens, NYC. The school currently has locations in Scotch Plains and Ewing, NJ.The School is one of the most competitive and successful Irish Dance Schools in the area producing many champion dancers. The school trains students for both solo and team competitions. Many dancers compete at Regional, National and International level competitions. They have appeared on National TV as well as performed at Radio City, Carnegie Hall, and on Broadway. Many have also been part of professional shows like Riverdance and Lord of the Dance.Although a great deal of emphasis is on competition, many children dance for culture, exercise and love of their art form. All classes are taught by fully certified (TGRG) teachers. The prime focus is that all children are afforded the same opportunity to learn and improve regardless of their level and ability. All students are given the individual attention they need to reach their potential. Like all sports and competitive activities, not all children make it to the top of their game. But we believe each child should be give the best chance to be the best they can be. All classes are divided up accordingly - each child being placed in the class which is best suited for them. Year round the students perform at nursing homes, hospitals as well as weddings, parties etc. They also march in parades such as St. Patrick's Day and Memorial Day parades.
