AakrIti Kaathak Academy
I have a passionate vision to make traditional Indian dance more accessible to audience with international taste and background. Rooted in the tradition of kathak, Bharatanatyam and folk dances, i constantly explore new creative ways of bringing out the true essence of Indian dance. The choreographies are a reflection of fusing ethnic and modern genres of dancing to songs influenced by Indian classical music and a wide range of global/world music. Each dance composition is carefully crafted with intricate details consisting of synchronization, choreography patterns and thematic costumes.
Rated 5.0 My daughter is learning Kathak from Kriti for past 4 years. It has been a wonderful experience for her. Kriti is truly a wonderful teacher. Not only is she teaching a dance form but also motivates and creates an environment where the dancers flourish and develop a passion and devotion for dance. Personally, when I worked with Kriti, during our journey of Samraat (a musical dance drama), I also realized she is a wonderful person, very down to earth, yet, very passionate and puts her heart and soul in everything she does. I'm fortunate to have such a wonderful Dance Guru for my daughter, here in US.

Learning dance so late in life , has been a challenge & Kriti has shown tremendous patience & encouragement. Not to mention her sense of humor & her ability to lighten & relax , the atmosphere,when the going gets tough. She values the minute nuances of the dance form along with experimenting with contemporary and modern dance form! Her performances generates high aesthetic visuals, which gets itched in one's memory!
