The Hindu Temple of Las Vegas was established in April 2001. A group of motivated individuals in 1994, who had made Las Vegas their home, felt the need for a place of worship and practice of Sanatana dharma in their adopted land. They had already started meeting in small groups at different homes to conduct the commonly performed pujas and festivals. They came together and established a non-profit corporation called The Hindu Society of Nevada and started raising funds for the land and later construction of the Temple. The land was purchased at the present site in 1997. The temple construction was started in 2000 and completed in 2001. Panditji Gopal Krishna Panchangam was the first priest to conduct various ceremonies at the Temple since it was opened in April 2001. Over the years, the Navagraha Temple and priest residences were built with the generous donations from the Las Vegas community. In 2012 Panditji Brijesh Kumar Raval started performing pujas at the Temple. The Las Vegas community continues to grow and in 2016, Panditji Vishnuvardhana Chakrapanachar started working at the Temple performing various pujas.

Rated 4.0 Very peaceful. It was only my second time at a Hindu temple and first time by myself so I kept to myself pretty much. Not a lot of people there to talk to.
