Hank Estes began preparing tax returns professionally in 1978, and became an Enrolled Agent, licensed to represent taxpayers before the IRS. In 1980, he started a tax and financial planning firm called Financial Decisions. He is still active in the investments business, and also holds the credentials Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Certified Fund Specialist (CFS).His son, Dave (me), began preparing tax returns at around the same time, initially preparing them for classmates and coworkers. in 1996, I joined him at Financial Decisions, and have stayed on ever since.
