Nrithya Nithya is a Bharatanatyam dance institution aimed at teaching the art form in a traditional way, right from its basics. It trains students on the levels of practical, theoretical and on-stage performances. Its founder, Vaishnavi M. Karthikeyan is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, choreographer and research scholar.She is the student of Guru, Smt. Kausalya Srinivasan who has trained her since the age of 4. Apart from the guru sishya parampara training she also holds Masters and M.Phil degree from the Madras University in Bharatnatyam. She has been conferred 'Natya Kala Rathna' award by Chennai Social and Cultural Academy. She is also a graded artist by the Doordarshan (National Television), India. She has performed in numerous forums including the Chennai december music/dance festival, Mamallapuram Indian Dance Festival and more.
