Indian Knoll Elementary School
Indian Knoll Elementary opened its doors for the first time on August 1, 2011 with an enrollment of approximately 900 Kindergarten through Sixth grade students. It was built to accommodate new students in the rapidly growing community of Canton, Georgia, which is located in Cherokee County, one of the fastest growing counties in the state. The beginning of Indian Knoll School can be traced back to the 1890’s, with Indian Knoll School included on the 1895 map of Cherokee County. The original school was located near the intersection of Highway 140 and Avery Road and included two buildings. Indian Knoll was later relocated to a site behind Indian Knoll Baptist Church and then included three rooms. Indian Knoll School was eventually consolidated with Hickory Flat School in the late 1950’s.
Rated 5.0 We love Indian Knoll Ele. As a new business in the Hickory Flat area, Indian Knoll was willing to help us in anyway they could. The PTA is wonderful! We are Partners in Education with Indian Knoll and support this school in anyway that we can.
Rated 4.0 The school is ok, but lately they have been getting more rules, they also expect very much from students, But they are very good to their students and they have very good teachers. I would recommend this school for kids that are very good listeners, and that don't have very bad anger issues.
