Devika Ajaya took up Bharata Natyam Guru Mythili Kumar Mythili Kumar, Abhinaya Dance Company of San Jose . She then continued to learn and specialize in (vocal), (Nattuvangam), (Veena), (mridangam). style under the Jayanthi Umesh (vocal, Mythili Kumar (Nattuvangam), Raja Sivamani (Veena) and A.Mahadevan (mridangam). She had more dedicated and professional training under the tutelage of her Guru. She has toured and given performances in almost all the major cities in India, she has taken part in major festivals of India. As a performer, teacher, and choreographer.
