Kalanjali Dance Academy was established to promote and propagate dancing traditions of India in the Quad Cities, US. Under the guidance of its founder- director Sreedevi Nair, students at Kalanjali Dance Academy (KDA) are trained in Bharatanatyam through systematic and structured techniques. Classes at KDA focuses on teaching aspects of Nritta, Nritya and Natya are encouraged to learn, perform and grow into good dancers and individuals. Starting with Bharatanatyam adavus and progressing to advanced level giving importance to technical details and subtle nuances, they are taught dance techniques and knowledge with dedication. Students are grouped according to age and height and usually once a week. Students are expected to show discipline, dedication and respect towards the art form being taught.
