I would characterize my style as photojournalistic and fine arts photography, capturing the moments as they happen and allowing time for beautiful portraits. As a photographer I am the timekeeper of the whole day, from beginning to end, anything can happen. Keeping a level head, and improvising at critical times while still capturing sexy photos is what I aim to do. It is way more than just photos, it is people management, it is courtesy, it is trust between the couple and the photographer, I want your day to be as enjoyable as possible and your photos timeless and elegant. I’ve always been an artist at heart, everything I have done in my life has been influenced by my ability to be creative, photography is another means to an end in my search for fulfillment. I tried the 9-5 before and felt like my soul was slowly dying. Shooting close to 500 weddings and still loving what you do is a blessing many people don’t get to experience, and for that, I am very thankful.

From his arrival, he brought a contagious positive energy that lasted all night. My husband and I are not used to being photographed but with his funny banter and encouraging feedback, Joel made us feel like we were doing great—and it definitely translated into the final product.
