Born and raised in Southwest Virginia, Ankur Patel learned the value of a hard day's work loading flat-bed trucks with construction materials at a small town lumber yard and working as an assistant for a local drilling company pulling 14-hours shifts. Ankur Patel went on to attend James Madison University where he earned bachelor degrees in both Finance and Philosophy. He continued his education at Appalachian School of Law on scholarship, and developed the legal skills to succeed in and out of the courtroom. After graduating from law school, Ankur went on to work for the Office of the Public Defender for the City of Richmond where he litigated over a thousand criminal trials ranging from minor traffic offenses to first degree murder. After leaving the Office of the Public Defender, Ankur Patel continued his career successfully representing multi-billion dollar companies in various areas of law including premises liability defense, workers' compensation defense, products liability defense, and contractual disputes. Ankur Patel currently resides in city of Richmond and has been a lifelong resident of the Commonwealth. He is a devoted husband and proud father who enjoys spending time with his family and their Beagle-Labrador, Peyton. Ankur Patel also enjoys golfing, watching movies, performing home improvements, and getting together with friends.
