Rahul's corporate immigration experience includes a wide-range of nonimmigrant visa matters - including those in H-1B, L-1, TN, E-1 and B-1 visa categories - as well as permanent residency matters involving PERM labor certification applications, complex immigrant worker petitions, multinational executive and manager petitions. He also regularly advises clients on U.S. immigration compliance and provides counsel on the immigration implications of corporate mergers and acquisitions, Labor Condition Application (LCA) regulations, and USCIS anti-fraud efforts. Rahul represents a variety of multinational clients throughout a broad range of industries, including software development and software consulting, as well as audit, tax, and advisory services. He serves as a member of the firm’s Professional Practices Network, Corporate Compliance Committee, and IT Consulting Group. Prior to joining Fragomen, Rahul served as a Staff Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Board of Immigration Appeals through the Attorney General's Honors Program. While in law school, Rahul served as a law clerk with the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Immigration in the offices of Senator Edward M. Kennedy, as well as with several divisions within the U.S. Department of Justice, including the Executive Office for Immigration Review's Office of General Counsel; the U.S. Immigration Court in Arlington, Virginia; and the Civil Rights Division's Office of Special Counsel for Immigration-Related Unfair Employment Practices. While serving as a Student Attorney with the American University International Human Rights Law Clinic, Rahul successfully represented asylum-seekers from the Ivory Coast, Burma, and China in immigration proceedings before the Board of Immigration Appeals and the U.S. Immigration Courts in Baltimore, Maryland and Arlington, Virginia. Rahul also served on the staff of the ABA-sponsored Administrative Law Review during law school.
