Kalyan Pokala earned his undergraduate degree, a Bachelor’s of Science in Social and Cultural History from Carnegie Mellon University in 2004, and his J.D. from the University of St. Thomas (MN) in 2008. He was admitted to the California state bar as a licensed attorney in December 2008. As the principal of the firm, he began practicing as a solo attorney before incorporating as Pokala Law APC in 2017.Mr. Pokala has experience in the areas of business formation, contracts, general civil litigation, trademarks and copyrights, and employment law. Mr. Pokala has been serving the legal needs of local San Diego residents and businesses for more than thirteen years. While the bulk of Mr. Pokala’s practice involves civil litigation, for both plaintiffs and defendants, Mr. Pokala was drawn to the practice of law with his experiences with independent artists and writers and protecting their interests. Since 2008, his practice has built a strong reputation for offering competent, fair-priced legal advice, while providing the personal touch that is uncommon in the industry.
