Deepa Menon focuses her practice on a variety of labor and employment matters. She regularly advises clients on equal employment opportunity regulations, hiring and termination practices, discrimination charges, employment contracts, personnel policy review, and severance and release agreements.Deepa also counsels public and private companies on due diligence and employee benefits issues related to mergers, acquisitions and other business transactions. Additionally, she has experience working on compensation and disparity claims, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) audits and Affirmative Action Plan preparation, Older Workers Benefit Protection Act (OWBPA), Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN), e-Verify compliance, Fair Labor Standards Act classification, EEO-1 and VETS-4212 reports, Uniform Testing Guidelines, accommodations, compliance with various federal and state employment laws, and Canada’s Federal Contractors Program and Employment Equity Act. Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Deepa was an associate at a national employment law firm, where she advised clients regarding equal employment and affirmative action issues. Her previous experience also includes serving as a law clerk for the Financial Services Roundtable and a judicial intern for Judge Mary Ellen Coster Williams of the US Court of Federal Claims.
