Anjali Patel is an associate in Skadden’s Washington, D.C. office. Ms. Patel advises clients on a broad spectrum of antitrust issues related to mergers and acquisitions, litigation, counseling and compliance. Ms. Patel has experience representing clients in all aspects of Hart-Scott-Rodino practice and has represented clients in mergers and acquisitions reviewed by the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission. Ms. Patel’s experience also includes representing clients involved in national and global antitrust litigations and class actions involving allegations of monopolization, price-fixing and cartel behavior. Examples of these representations include: KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in various U.S. antitrust class action litigations relating to air cargo shipping services and passenger air transportation; and De Beers in various U.S. antitrust litigations relating to gem and rough diamonds. In addition, Ms. Patel has represented pro bono clients on a variety of matters, including appeals from denials of Social Security disability benefits, nonprofit corporate governance, applications for tax-exempt status and serving as a court-appointed guardian ad litem in domestic custody disputes.
