About Amina Khan Attorney

Amina is a 2005 graduate of the University of Florida College of Law. She is admitted to practice law in Florida and Illinois State courts and US District courts in the Southern District of Florida and Northern District of Illinois. Amina is an experienced criminal defense attorney, and started her career at the Public Defender's Office in Miami Dade County. Amina has represented hundreds of individuals charged with crimes and has a strong track record of jury trial victories and resolving cases to her clients’ satisfaction. Amina has also worked as a Prosecutor, in Winnebago County Illinois and for the Office of the Executive Inspector General in Chicago. Amina's experienced, creative, and personal approach is focused on ensuring the best possible outcome for all her clients. Amina's passion for helping the under-dog lead her to the Indo-American Center in Chicago, where she managed the Immigration Department from June 2016 through January 2018, and helped hundreds of immigrants become naturalized US citizens. Amina, herself was naturalized in 2008, and truly believes that the American dream should be accessible to everyone. She is fluent in both Urdu and Hindi and understands the unique concerns of the south Asian immigrant community in the US.
