Celina Agüero is an experienced criminal defence, estates and family law lawyer who delivers aggressive legal representation in a cost-effective manner. While she offers the type of representation expected of a large firm, she retains a small firm efficiency and focus which allows her to devote personal attention to her clients’ needs. Her practice is based in central Mississauga allowing her to serve clients in Toronto, Peel, Halton, York, Hamilton and Kitchener/Waterloo. Prior to founding Aguero Law, Celina practiced at prominent law firms in Toronto and Windsor where she handled diverse caseloads involving estates, criminal litigation and family law matters. Celina also draws from her experience as a former federal prosecutor with experience in the prosecution of drug offences and quasi-criminal matters. Celina’s broad litigation practice has given her significant courtroom advocacy experience including regular appearances at bail hearings, pre-trial motions, trials and appeals at the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice. Celina has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Development Studies from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Windsor. She is an active member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Ontario Criminal Lawyers Association, the Peel Law Association, the Mississauga Board of Trade and the Toronto Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She takes an active interest in her community and has served as a Director of the Essex Law Association, a committee member with the (former) Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation Board, and as a volunteer with the Ontario Bar Association, Young Lawyers’ Division.
